PD: Reproduction of 1887 oil on canvas painting by Vincent Van Gogh: b. 1853. d. 1890. Dutch painter of genre and various themes of landscapes and people. This painting is a copy after Japanese woodblock artist Hiroshige. During his lifetime Van Gogh is reported to have only sold one painting. Only after his death that his work began to gain interest for his unique style of oil application on canvas. His original works of art are now highly prized and earn huge amounts of money within the art world.
