Description

PD: Reproduction of 1912 painting by Alama Del Banco: b. 1862. d. 1943. German modernist painter who studied in France. In 1937 13 of her paintings were judged to be 'degenerate' and were confiscated by the Nazi regime. She committed suicide in March of 1943 knowing that she was about to be 'transported'. Taormina a hilltop town in Sicily.
