One of a series of renditions of the human rights activist and Nobel Peace prize winner. b. 1945. she has emerged as national leader of the National League for Democracy. She has just won a parliamentary seat and leads a small opposition bloc in a military controlled parliament. Only time will tell if her baby steps to a democratic Myanmar will be realized. She faces a sad fact of human nature that power and money corrupts, and is hard to overcome. A great lady who bears the scars of much personal abuse received in her struggle for equity and rights for her people. All freedom loving peoples should support and admire this fine member of the human race.
